We feel that pupils who are proud of their achievements and proud to be members of the College will wish their membership of it to be recognised.  It is also practical clothing appropriate for a working environment.

Boys

  • Black blazer with College badge
  • Black trousers (Not black jeans or skinny trousers, must be tailored)
  • White shirt (not sports shirt, short sleeves permissible in  summer)
  • House tie
  • Plain sensible black shoes, black trainers are permitted if all black, no white soles. If worn, socks must be white or black
  • Black College jumper (optional) – v-neck sweater as provided by suppliers – Skoolkit (This is optional and to be worn under a blazer and not as an alternative to the blazer)

PE Kit

  • Royal blue/white long sleeved Rugby shirt
  • Royal blue/white polo shirt x 2 (recommended)
  • Black football shorts (not sweatshirt material)
  • Plain black football socks
  • Training shoes and Football boots (as recommended by English School Football Assoc.)
  • Shin pads and gum shield (as recommended by English Schools Football Assoc.)
  • Embroidered PE black hooded sweatshirt (recommended)
  • Black tracksuit trousers (optional for cold weather at the discretion of the teacher)
  • Black Waterproof jacket (optional)

Girls

  • Black blazer with College badge
  • Plain grey pleated skirt. Pleats 2″ no shorter than 3” above the knee.
  • White blouse/shirt (not sports blouse) (short sleeves permissible in summer)
  • House tie
  • Black tailored trousers, not leggings.  (Trousers must be traditional tailored trousers NOT exceptionally wide or narrow legs and without decoration or fashion features – leggings are NOT allowed)
  • Plain sensible black shoes (Trainers are permitted if all black, no white soles).
  • If worn, socks must be white, grey or black, tights must be flesh coloured or  plain black (not patterned)
  • Black College jumper (optional)– v-neck sweater as provided by Suppliers- Skoolkit. (This is optional and to be worn under a blazer and not as an alternative to the blazer.)
  • Hair accessories must be black.

PE Kit

  • Royal blue/white polo shirt x 2 (recommended)
  • Black wrap-over or pleated skirt/skort (optional)
  • Plain black shorts can be worn under skirt
  • Black hockey socks
  • Training shoes
  • Football/hockey boots (optional but advisable)
  • Shin pads and gum shield (as recommended by the All England Women’s Hockey Association)
  • Royal blue/white long sleeved Rugby shirt (optional and can be worn in cold weather at the discretion of the teacher)
  • Embroidered PE black hooded sweatshirt (recommended)
  • Black tracksuit trousers (optional for cold weather at the discretion of the teacher)

All pupils  Appearance & Accessories

  • Hairstyles should be moderate and natural in their colour.
  • Bags should be in dark colours – reflective strips recommended for safety purposes.
  • Hair accessories must be plain black.
  • Belts must be plain and black and no wider than 4cm/1.5inches with a plain, simple, functional buckle which is of a size appropriate to the belt width ( No “fashion” belts).
  • Earings must be studs.
  • No facial piercings are permitted unless permission is requested from the Headteacher. However if a nose stud is agreed these must be clear silicon studs with a plaster whilst piercings are healing.
  • Make-up, if worn, must be discreet and NOT include false eyelashes, lash extensions or false/acrylic nails. Nail varnish must be a natural pale colour or clear.
  • Fashion Trainers or open toed shoes are not permitted.
  • During PE and other practical activities all long hair must be tied back and any fringes that obscure vision must be clipped back.
  • Religious Head Coverings should be plain black.
